If you have figured a way to modify your FT-727R dual bander I would
really like to hear from you. The emergency group I am a member of has
a new repeater and I cannot program the radio to the "new" band plan
frequencies.

It's a Yazzzu! your screwed, that radio (like a lot of other Yazzzu's)
won't do the california 20Khz split. I suggest buying a Kenwood TM-G707A
mobile...good radio for $269.....

P.S...if your looking for a MOBILE.....
Icom T7H is a cheap dual bander that does 20Khz splits.....
