Radio-Shack (Tandy) makes some of the WORST/SHITTY/LEAKY/POORLY shielded
coax known to HAMS/CB'ers worldwide.
About all it's good for is bundling twigs for the garbageman.
Belden runs circles around this crap, 9914,LMR-400 are HEADS above this
crapola.
50 feet at $40 equates to 80 cents a foot, HARDLY a "bargain" by any means!

I believe the Radio Shack cable is actually Belden 8237, so Tandy doesn't
actually make the cable, the only crappy thing they did is to choose a lower
quality cable for the assembly (probably originally intended for CB use for
which it would be OK).
